Visionary Justice StoryLab is excited to share films from the 2025 Resisting Narratives of Erasure cohort — eight emerging filmmakers from the Southeast.  Over the course of the fellowship, these storytellers engaged in immersive learning experiences to deepen their craft, received mentorship from industry professionals, and were supported with resources to create original short films.

From documentary to experimental narrative and romantic comedy, their dynamic works explore themes of cultural and ancestral memory, trauma and reconciliation, gender and desire, land stewardship, and more.

Join us for a special screening event featuring these powerful short films, followed by a filmmaker talkback with the 2025 Resisting Narratives of Erasure fellows. We look forward to sharing this evening of bold storytelling and meaningful conversation with you.
